Utah

I am entire month behind on blogging, but I can not make myself just skip ahead. I want to always be able to look back and remember all the fun times we had as a family!
So... back in mid to late August Josh was gearing up for his annual hunting trip to Utah. He was throwing around the idea of taking Trey with him, but I thought he was kidding, silly me ;) When I realized he was serious about taking him, I got really nervous and anxious. I spent the next few weeks pleading my case and coming up with reasons for him not to go. But I kept coming back to the fact that I would miss him too much! 12 days without my baby boy!?! No way.
Well, as you can see in the following pictures, Josh was very persistant and I caved. Seeing how excited Trey was made me feel way better about him going. He woke up every morning for a week saying, "Is it today? Are we going to the mountains today?" I couldn't stand between my Little Hunter and The Mountains, lol!

Josh and his friend text me pictures of him every single day, and most days I got 3-4 pictures! They knew this would keep me off their backs. I saw him riding the Ranger, eating, sleeping on his cot, playing on a mountain, riding in the car, posing with deer they killed, etc. It made me feel a lot better getting to talk to him every day and seeing pictures and videos of him having fun. What did mother's do before cell phones? I can't imagine!

Josh said Trey was a perfect angel and he got so many compliments on how well behaved he was and how tough he was. A lot of his people were expecting it to be a miserable trip taking a 3 year old to the mountains. I mean, it is an 18 hour drive! But thankfully, they were wrong! They had so much fun and I over hear them talking about next year all the time :)

That, my friends, is a chipmunk! Don't worry, they tanned the hide and it was perfectly clean and safe. That's what they told me, anyways ;)

The Pond

The past month, Josh has been having a pond dug at our new property. Most evenings, we drive over there as a family and look at the progress that has been made. This is especially exciting for Trey. He loves equipment and dirt and always looks forward to going to see the pond.
The other day we were cooking out and I went in the back door to grab something from the kitchen, when I noticed there was mud on the door handle.

"OLIVER!"
When he came around the corner, I started laughing so hard that I couldn't possibly be upset. He was COVERED in mud! I asked what he was doing and he showed me the way.

"Look, Mommy! I'm digging a pond just like Daddy..."

"AND! I can jump in it!"

Trey's Bulldozer 3rd Birthday Party

Trey turned 3 on December 28th but we waited a week for the holidays to die down to have his party. Poor kid was born smack dab in the middle of Christmas and New Year's. This year he wanted a Bulldozer Party. I didn't think I could pull this one off but I was amazed at how much bulldozer stuff is out there.

I made a "Worm Dirt Pit" and it was so yummy! Crushed oreos, cream cheese, chocolate pudding, and gummi worms... How can you go wrong with that combo? I had hard hats for all of the kids to wear and I even found a Bulldozer Pinata!

The sugar cookies were so good! They were in the shapes of Bulldozers, concrete trucks, firetrucks, and dump trucks. They were a big hit and made the perfect party favor. I have started ordering them for every occasion!

I made little signs to go in all the food. This one was my favorite, "Dig In!" I always use Tastefully Simple products at our parties. They have the best appetizers and they are super easy to make. This is Bacon Bacon dip and Beer Bread. YUM!

The cake was exactly what I wanted... as usual! It matched the party perfectly and Trey LOVED the red Bulldozer. I am always so impressed at Baking Buddies cakes. Those girls can do anything!

Josh always gets on to me for going all out on the Birthday Parties but he is so guilty! He always cooks so much delicious food! Here is Josh and some friends of ours hanging out by the bbq pit. He cooked Brisket, prime rib, and shrimp diablo. Seriously... who cooks all of that for a 3 year olds party!?! And he thinks I go overboard? LOL!

I had a note on the invitation that said "Bring your battery operated ATVs". I stole this idea from a friend and it was so perfect! Here is Shane riding on Trey's tractor.

And his Big Sister, Miss Rylei Paige. I swear, our friends have the most adorable kids!

Harleigh & Cali had a blast on Justice & Bailey's Avalanche. Cali's little sister Kenli is chasing them. I joked with their Mommy and said that's probably how these 3 will always be! ha!

Trey had so much fun at his party and so many of our family and friends came over to celebrate. The weather was perfect! I can't believe I didn't get a picture of the best part... Daddy parked his REAL LIVE bulldozer in the front yard for everyone to see. Trey was in Heaven :)

NFL & PJ's

Last night we went to watch Monday Night Football! Our Wedding Anniversary was November 18th, we have been married 4 years and it feels like 40! I can't decide whether that's a good or a bad thing ;) We didn't get to celebrate on the actual day because Lakyn was really sick with RSV and Trey had a double ear infection and bronchitis. So, we spent our Anniversary taking care of sick babies. It was pretty cute when we woke up that morning from a LONG night of being up and down, and we both looked at each other and said, "I didn't get you anything!" ha! I think we were both really relieved! So... we decided to break down and get some Texans tickets. We have been wanting to go to a game for a long time so we got 4 tickets to Monday Night Football. We invited our friends Kurt & Kristin to come with us and I'm so glad we did, we had a blast!

It was Battle Red night so I wore a red sweater to represent :) We sat on the club level, so fun!

The Texans lost in overtime which was such a bummer, but we had a good time anyways. I'm glad that we finally got to celebrate our anniversary and that we had some great friends to join us! We will for sure be going to more NFL games, it's safe to say that we are hooked!

Today was Polar Express Day at Mother's Day Out so all the kids wore their PJ's and took their favorite stuffed animal. I let Trey pick which "buddy" he wanted to take and he picked this bear. It's the one that the hospital gave us when Maeson was born. We told our nurse about Harleigh and Trey and showed her pictures of them and later that day she came in with two bears and said they were remembrance bears donated by a local church for kids who lose a sibling. He was too young to understand what happend or where the bear came from, so I think it's so neat how much he loves this bear :) Trey was so excited to wear his Christmas pajamas. I put this Santa Hat on him and he ran around yelling, "Ho, Ho, Ho! Merry Christmas!" I love this little boy so much!

Bubba's Special Day

Yesterday my Mom took the girls to go spend some time with their cousins and spend the night with her. Trey and I hung out and ran errands and I did payroll. Then, we headed to the Deer Lease to meet up with Daddy. Trey was missing his sisters! He asked me where Lakyn was twice. And then he said, "Where is Harleigh? I want her!" It was so sweet! The deer lease is only about 30 minutes from our house which is so nice. My little man passed out in the car on the way there.

We got to the woods just in time for the evening hunt and Trey was so excited! We were in the stand until dark and never saw a deer, but it was fun just being with my boys. Here is another pic of our adorable little Hunter!

We went back to camp and grilled steaks, baked potatoes, and asparagus. It was so good! Trey was the only kid there and he had everyone's undivided attention the entire night. I don't think he missed his sisters for long. We hung out in the camp house and played dominos until the wee hours. Nothing like a little 42 at the deer lease! We had a great time with Bubba on his special day, but I'm anxious to get my girls back! :)

Big Boy!

Today was Trey's first day of Mother's Day Out. He should have started last week, but with the baby coming, I decided to keep him home until we got all settled. He has been going to the same MDO for two years, but I kept the kids home all summer so I was worried about how he would act. I thought he may be sad about me leaving him. Boy was I wrong!

He was so excited and wanted to talk all morning about the fun things they were going to do. He said he would color me a pretty picture and he would be nice to all of his friends!

He is in the 2-3 class this year, which is the "Potty training" class. He will wear pullups and be taking bathroom breaks throughout the day. He is doing really well with potty training these days. He will almost always go #1 in the potty, but NEVER #2. Hopefully MDO will help with that, cause talk about a mess! :)

When we got to the church everyone wanted to see Lakyn and kept asking Trey about his sister. Everytime he would say, "She's at school, or Harleigh's at big school." He doesn't get it yet that Lakyn is his sister too! LOL! My big boy walked right into his class and gave me a big kiss and was talking Ms. Sue's ear off when I left. I'm so proud of him!

Sunday Funday!

I am spending this beautiful Sunday afternoon with my Little Man! Harleigh and Daddy went hog hunting with Uncle Pickle, and Trey stayed at home with his Momma. We have had a fun day so far, I got beat at Gator Golf, played "Tiger", and cars. He is now laying down for a nap so I better use this time to catch up on stuff around the house!

I'm such a lucky Momma!

Moo... Look Who's Two!

Yep, you guessed it! This sweet Little Man turned two on December 28th, and he had the best Birthday of all time, (if I must say so myself, ha!) It all began on this old tractor where I took the pictures for his cuter than cute invitations. They turned out perfect, I love my "invitation girl!" On the night of his birthday, we met my Mom at Chuck E. Cheese to have a little b-day dinner, it's a tradition for us to go out on the actual day.

I didn't get any pictures worth sharing at Chuck E. Cheese, so we will just skip straight to the good stuff...
Like this AMAZING cake! It is exactly what I wanted and it fit perfectly with my "barnyard/cowboy theme". (I couldn't make up my mind, so I mixed them! ha!) Okay, so I love my "cake girl" too! This was my 6th Birthday party and I have finally found some help that I am totally ecstatic about! Anyways, back to the party! Josh keeps telling me that we really outdid ourselves this time and that we should just quit while we are ahead. Surely he knows me better than that! :)

Harleigh and Trey petting the baby lamb in the Petting Zoo

The Pony Rides were a huge hit, the Birthday Boy did not want to get off! Another thing he was not interested in doing was parting with that RED ringpop. (thanks a lot Mimi!)

We had an awesome day full of barnyard animals, tons of good company, and beautiful weather! Who could ask for anything more?

Texas Snow

It's a rare event when it snows in Southeast Texas. And we are lucky enough to have experienced it two years in a row! I kept the kids home from Mother's Day Out last Friday so they could play in The Texas Snow!

Harleigh was so excited, and Trey was trying to catch the snow in a bucket!

They ran and played for an hour. Trey was calling it "snow man" instead of just "snow"!

"Look Mommy! It's Snow Man!!!" Poor little guy took a nap and missed the best part!

Harleigh played and made snowballs while Trey napped away!

She was trying to get a taste!

It's not POOP!

I did not go to TWO different Wal-Marts on the dreaded Black Friday to retrieve items totally unrelated to Black Friday. NOPE! NOT ME! In fact, nothing that I didn't buy was even on sale! Now, I would NEVER do that. It's simply ridiculous. There are other grocery stores. Why on Earth would I go to Wal-Mart in the midst of all of that chaos? TWICE!

And the picture you see below was not taken of my adorable son, Trey, during what was supposed to be his naptime. He did not strip himself completely naked, rip off his sheet, and throw them and all of his blankets on the floor. NOPE! NOT MY CHILD! This would have never happend because I would have heard all of this commotion and gone to check on my sweet baby boy. Right?

WRONG!

And that diaper, (you know the one that is NOT lying in the bottom left corner of this picture?)

It is totally not full of POOP!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week
